วิเคราะห์ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการเรียนของนักศึกษาปีที่ 1 คณะนิติศาสตร์ปรีดี พนมยงค์ มหาวิทยาลัยธุรกิจบัณฑิตย์

มหาวิทยาลัยธุรกิจบัณฑิตย์ ได้เปิดสอนหลักสูตรนิติศาสตรบัณฑิต ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2518 สถิตินักศึกษา ที่ศึกษาในคณะนิติศาสตร์ชั้นปีที่ 1 ในแต่ละปีจะมีประมาณ 200-250 คน แต่อย่างไรก็ตามจากสถิติของนักศึกษาที่เข้ามาศึกษาในคณะนิติศาสตร์ ฯ ในชั้นปี 1 แล้วพบว่าตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2545-2551 มีอัตราที่นักศึกษาคณะนิติศาสตร์ออกกลางคันในชั้นปีที่ 2 จำนวนร้อยละ 17.16 ถือว่าเป็นอัตราที่ค่อนข้างมาก เพื่อตอบสนองแนวทางของมหาวิทยาลัย ในการผลิตบัณฑิตที่มีคุณภาพ และหาแนวทางในการบริหารคณะนิติศาสตร์ปรีดี พนมยงค์ ให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของนักศึกษา และมุ่งแก้ไขปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการเรียนของนักศึกษาปีที่ 1 คณะนิติศาสตร์ปรีดี พนมยงค์ ให้ตรงกับปัญหา มากที่สุด คณะผู้วิจัยจึงมุ่งประสงค์ศึกษาถึงปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการเรียนของนักศึกษาปีที่ 1 คณะนิติศาสตร์ปรีดี พนมยงค์ มหาวิทยาลัยธุรกิจบัณฑิตย์ โดยศึกษาถึงปัจจัย 3 ด้าน ปัจจัยส่วนตัว เช่น นักศึกษาขาดความตั้งใจเรียน ขาดเรียนบ่อย ไม่เข้าใจบทเรียน หรือไม่สามารถสอบในวิชาที่เรียนได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เป็นต้น ปัจจัยด้านครอบครัว เช่น ผู้ปกครองไม่สนับสนุนในการเรียน ฐานะทางเศรษฐกิจของครอบครัว หรือนักศึกษาต้องช่วยงานครอบครัวจนไม่สามารถเรียนให้เกิดประสบความ สำเร็จได้ เป็นต้น หรือปัจจัยสุดท้ายในด้านสภาพแวดล้อมในคณะนิติศาสตร์ปรีดี พนมยงค์ เช่นการคบเพื่อน หรือความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างอาจารย์และนักศึกษา เป็นต้น
ด้วยเหตุนี้ คณะผู้วิจัยจึงสนใจที่จะวิเคราะห์ ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการเรียนของนักศึกษาปีที่ 1 คณะนิติศาสตร์ปรีดี พนมยงค์ มหาวิทยาลัยธุรกิจบัณฑิตย์ เพื่อจะรับรู้ถึงปัญหา ข้อมูลในการแก้ไข และนำผลที่ได้มาใช้เป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนา และปรับปรุงคณะนิติศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธุรกิจบัณฑิตย์ ให้มีประสิทธิภาพ ทันสมัย และเหมาะสมกับผู้เรียนมากที่สุด

The Faculty of Law of Dhurakij Pundit University has been established since 1975. According to the statistical data, on average there are approximately 200-250 freshmen each year. However, the statistical results indicated that between the year 2002 and the year 2008, 17.16 percent of the total number of Law students left in the second year. The figures reported were considered quite a high rate. In accordance with Dhurakij Pundit University’s commitment to embarking upon a mission to produce high-quality graduates and in line with the mission to find out effective means of administration of Pridi Banomyong Faculty of Law so as to meet students’ needs and to be able to find out suitable solutions to problems and obstacles of learning of Pridi Banomyong Faculty of Law freshmen, the researchers attempted to investigate the problems and obstacles of learning of Pridi Banomyong Faculty of Law freshmen in terms of three critical factors.

One of them was individual characteristic factor including the fact that students lacked focus on the lessons; they were absent for class too often; they did not understand the lessons; and they did not do their examinations very well, for example. Another one was family factor, such as lack of financial support from the family; family financial status; and the fact that students had to work to support the family, which possibly affected students’ failure. The last factor was related to the atmosphere in Pridi Banomyong Faculty of Law, for instance, peer selection and relationship between students and advisors.
For this reason, the researchers are interested to analyze any potential problems and obstacles to learning of freshmen of Dhurakij Pundit University Pridi Banomyong Faculty of Law. The objectives are to realize the problems and obstacles and to find out effective solutions. The results of the study are expected to offer means of developing Dhurakij Pundit University Pridi Banomyong Faculty of Law for more effectiveness, modernity, and suitability to learners.
