การมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนในการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมคลองเปรมประชากร

การวิจัยเรื่องการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนในการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมคลองเปรมประชากรนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อจัดการสร้างคู่มือฝึกอบรมโดยมีกรอบการสร้าง 4 ขั้นตอน คือ
1. ศึกษาปัญหาของชุมชนด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม
2. สร้างแบบสอบถามใน 4 ด้านคือ ลักษณะทั่วไปทางประชากร ความรู้ความเข้าใจในเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อม การจัดการเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อม ปัญหาและอุปสรรคด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม
3. สร้างคู่มือฝึกอบรมเพื่อแก้ปัญหา 4 ปัญหาหลักที่พบจากแบบสอบถามคือ ปัญหาน้ำเสีย ปัญหาขยะ ปัญหาด้านภูมิทัศน์ ปัญหาการอนุรักษ์วัฒนธรรมประเพณี
4. วัดผลประสิทธิภาพของคู่มือ
ผู้วิจัยทำการทดสอบ ก่อนและหลังการฝึกอบรม การฝึกอบรมเป็นการให้ความรู้ผู้นำชุมชนตลาดบางเขน ชุมชนเทวสุนทร ชุมชนร่วมพัฒนาและผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องจำนวนชุมชนละ 10 คน รวม 30 คน ให้เกิดความรู้ ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับสิ่งแวดล้อม ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างมนุษย์ วัฒนธรรมกับสิ่งแวดล้อม ปัญหาและวิธีการแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม ให้ตระหนักถึงปัญหาของสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เกิดขึ้นเพื่อเปลี่ยนแปลงพฤติกรรมของผู้นำชุมชนขยายสู่คนในชุมชนเพื่อคุณภาพชีวิตและคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม ให้ทุกคนมีส่วนร่วมปฏิบัติการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมตามแนวทางสิ่งแวดล้อมศึกษา เกิดการเรียนรู้เพื่อที่จะรักษาและปรับปรุงคุณภาพชีวิตของคนรุ่นปัจจุบันจนถึงรุ่นลูกหลานในอนาคต เป็นแนวทางหนึ่งของการพัฒนาทรัพยากรที่จะทำให้เกิดการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน การวิจัยใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 90 ตัวอย่างที่อาศัยอยู่ใน 3 ชุมชน
ผลการวิจัยพบว่าผู้ที่ผ่านการฝึกอบรมตามกระบวนการสิ่งแวดล้อมศึกษา มีการพัฒนาความรู้ ความเข้าใจ ทักษะ เจตคติ และความตระหนักต่อการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม ให้ความร่วมมือในการมีส่วนร่วมแก้ไขปัญหา ป้องกันปัญหาและพัฒนาเพิ่มขึ้นเปรียบเทียบคะแนนเฉลี่ยจากแบบทดสอบก่อนและหลังการฝึกอบรมมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยเพิ่มขึ้น 7.50 คะแนน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

This study originated from a need to produce a handbook for the training of participants in the environmental preservation process who live in communities around and along the Premprachakorn Canal. The study comprises four components.

1. A study of the environmental problems of the communities
2. A questionnaire study of the general profile of members of the communities, their understanding of environmental issues, their management of the environment, and other environmental problems and difficulties
3. A production of a training handbook covering four issues: waste water, garbage, community landscape, and preservation of community traditions
4. A training to verify the effectiveness of the handbook

The subjects in this training study are made up of 10 leaders each from the Bang Khen Market Community, the Devasuntorn Community and the Ruam Patana Community. The subjects are trained to reach an understanding of the environment, the relationships between humans, culture and the environment, and environmental problems and how to solve these problems. They are also trained to be aware of the emerging environmental problems and to be prepared to investigate behavioral modification programs in their communities. An additional focus of their training is on the preservation and promotion of the quality of the environment and the quality of life of people in the communities, which can guarantee a sustained development of the environmental as well as the human resources of the communities.Quantitatively, the subjects from the three selected communities consist of 90 participants.

The study shows that participants in the training program have successfully developed an understanding, a positive attitude , and an awareness of a need for environmental preservation. They have also developed the needed skills and a commitment to cooperate in the solving and preventing of environmental problems as well as the improvement of the environment of the communities. A comparison of their pre-training and post-training assessment score shows an increase of 7.50 points, with a .05 statistical significance.
