Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

Program Objectives: Information Technology (IT) has been a vital component of the global societies. The study of Information Technology relies on many areas in computer science for its theoretical and conceptual foundations, but it also requires students to utilize concepts from a variety of other fields, such as business management, economics, and communication networks. Students learn to integrate theory and practice, and to appreciate the value of good technology design.

With this view, DPUIC has designed an innovative and practical Information Technology program where students learn to integrate theory and practice. This is emphasized by practical hands-on experience which is a key component of this program. In the senior year, students have the opportunity to intern at a major corporation in Thailand, while developing key skills and obtaining industry insights. As a result, our students will be ready to join the workforce right after graduation. Some students have chosen to continue their studies to obtain an IT graduate degree in Thailand or abroad.

Students in this program will:
  • Apply current theories and practices in IT and related fields toward the development of organizations in both public and private sectors.

  • Work as part of a team to develop and deliver efficient IT solutions.

  • Use engineering approaches that integrate ethical, social, legal, and business concerns.

  • Learn new technologies and innovations as they emerge.
